Tax Specialist
Your Mission
This position is responsible for managing and addressing various tax-related matters to minimise tax risks through the review of tax filings and the provision of tax guidelines and standards for business activities. The role also supports both local and cross-border operations through a strong understanding of applicable tax laws and regulations.
What To Expect
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare and file corporate income tax, withholding tax, and GST returns.
- Prepare transfer pricing documentation and ensure compliance with local and international transfer pricing requirements.
- Manage tax audits and queries from relevant authorities, and support periodic tax-related requests from headquarters.
- Prepare current and deferred tax computations for financial reporting purposes.
- Support employer reporting of employees’ income information for submission to tax authorities.
- Support Global Minimum Tax (BEPS 2.0 – Pillar Two) implementation and compliance requirements.
- Propose strategic initiatives to optimise existing tax benefits.
- Identify tax risks and opportunities for cost savings while ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Taxation, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant tax experience; experience in the manufacturing industry is an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of local and international tax laws; staying up to date with BEPS 2.0 developments is an advantage.
- Experience in preparing tax reports and working with SAP systems is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, including report writing and presentation delivery.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
