Strategic Partnerships Manager
Your Mission
HMGICS's Business Cooperation & External Affairs team is responsible for partnerships with Singapore-based stakeholders, including private corporations, the Singapore Government, academic institutions, trade associations, and industry groups. The team leads the company’s engagement with the Singapore Government on policy development, licensing, and regulatory changes. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of the Government Affairs and Public Policy strategy for Singapore, as well as day-to-day operations involving regulatory work.
What To Expect
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams to develop policy positions for HMGICS across different interest areas including electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles, and hydrogen.
- Conduct research and data analysis to analyze risks and opportunities due to policy developments.
- Engage with business partners and global policy teams to develop engagement strategies to influence policy.
- Serve as the point of contact for key regulators, government officials, representatives, and, if needed, foreign governments.
- Create materials to support policy positions and inform internal stakeholders on current policy thinking.
- Monitor regulatory and policy developments in relevant business areas.
- Maintain a network of partners across government to drive relevant outcomes.
- Represent the company in meetings and discussions with government officials.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or business administration (double major preferred).
- At least 3 years of experience working within the Singapore government, think tanks, or a multinational company in a government affairs function.
- Experience working with engineering and product teams on policy initiatives.
- Experience working within the mobility industry.
- Ability to understand global taxation policy changes and their business implications.
