Specification Management Engineer

Your Mission

This position is responsible for creating and maintaining the manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM), managing part purchase orders, and overseeing production processes. You will also manage data sources and regulatory information to guide manufacturing operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Additionally, you will oversee the application timing of Engineering Orders (EO) within the production process, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure seamless integration and execution.

What To Expect

BOM (Bill of Materials)

  • Manage application timing as determined by the Product Specification Committee and support the creation of sales specifications.
  • Generate and manage the manufacturing BOM, including creating module BOMs when needed.
  • Oversee the application conditions of collar BOM, including timing and parts management.
  • Set up the manufacturing BOM for subsidiary materials, specifying serial numbers and consumption quantities.
  • Maintain and manage master data, including classifying application shops for end items and parts.
  • Address and correct BOM data errors.
  • Continuously improve the manufacturing BOM system.

 

ALC (Assembly Line Control)

  • Verify sales order specifications and production feasibility.
  • Create and maintain work-order information (e.g., 219 bite options, W/Order creation, etc.).
  • Generate and manage technical information, including VIN details, verification data, and legal specifications.
  • Manage production and logistics data.
  • Oversee new car projects, including development schedules and the number of test vehicles.

 

EPI (Effective Point Information)

  • Review and communicate changes in Engineering Orders (EO) to relevant teams.
  • Manage EO-CUT and application timing for new models at each stage.
  • Review and address issues related to newly applied components.
  • Confirm EPI accuracy.
  • Discuss and determine the application timing for changes in design, function, quality, regulation, cost reduction, etc.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle parts and product specifications.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, basic automobile mechanisms, and BOM systems.
  • Proficient in computer skills, especially MS Office, Visual Basic, and SAP.
