Project Manager, Assembly Automation

Your Mission

This position will be responsible as a key expert in automated manufacturing capabilities. You will work closely with site automation engineers and accelerated plants to leverage technology to improve, streamline, and automate manufacturing processes. The role is responsible for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of such technologies across the plants they support.

What To Expect

[Project Leadership]

  • Connect and collaborate with teams from different regions around the world to share best practices and define global standards.
  • Interface with various corporate functions and prepare technical documents, presentations, and reports.

 

[Technology Roadmap Development]

  • Lead automation OT roadmap innovation discussions and benchmark emerging and innovative OT automation technologies.
  • Manage activities related to OT and automation.
  • Manage the execution of necessary actions with the operating units.
  • Map and develop local and regional vendors to support the implementation process.
  • Define infrastructure and network architecture requirements together with other areas of the company, aiming to achieve segregation between IT and OT networks.
  • Support integration and data communication across various network layers while following applicable cybersecurity protocols.
  • Explore and implement new ways to automate systems.
  • Design and test automation equipment and processes.
  • Support the definition of wireless OT networks and communication protocols required to ensure connectivity.
  • Work with process historians, enabling communications and data collection for deeper analysis.
  • Work with different communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, OPC UA and DA, Profinet, etc.).
  • Support the monitoring of projects involving ICS and Industry 4.0 updates.
  • Work together with industrial and IT teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or 10+ years of Automation Controls work experience is required.
  • 8+ years of engineering experience in an industrial environment.
  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • 5+ years of automation experience.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing projects for accelerated sites and working closely with squads.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, advanced Excel, Tableau, and Power BI.
