Procurement Specialist (Import Custom Clearance)
Your Mission
This position is responsible for managing import customs clearance and transportation for parts and equipment required for production, while devising and executing procurement strategies in accordance with import policies, including customs laws and FTAs, to reduce unit costs and ensure on-time delivery.
What To Expect

Manage import customs clearance

Follow up with brokers on customs-related matters, including product code applications and VDP submissions.

Track and manage shipment data, including HS codes, COO, net weight, BL, and INV, in the SAP MM module.

Conduct internal audits and manage external audits on customs compliance under the Excise Factory Scheme.

Verify import GST payable weekly through HMGICS GIRO to Singapore Customs.

Collaborate with trade associations and local suppliers on parts customisation projects.

Devise and execute logistics strategies in accordance with import policies, including customs laws and FTAs.

Analyse FTA rules of origin and requirements.

Control customs-related risks by managing HTS and verifying CIF values.

Manage customs brokers and logistics forwarders.

Devise and execute unit-cost reduction plans and negotiate prices.

Work with other departments on system and process enhancements.

Conduct internal training on customs clearance procedures and requirements.

Support other assigned tasks as required.
What You'll Bring
-
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or International Trade.

3–5 years of experience in logistics and professional customs clearance.

Knowledge of customs laws and customs practices.
-
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees and suppliers at all levels.
