Process Engineer

Your Mission

This position is responsible for managing, innovating, and improving electric vehicle cell assembly techniques through process improvements. The incumbent will also manage smart manufacturing assistance systems to facilitate the production of a quality product. They will be supporting HMGICS and Depot.

What To Expect

  • Develop, maintain and improve documentation (assembly method, standard operation procedure, specification table etc) for existing and new models/modules assembly sequences and techniques
  • Work on New Production Introduction: Introduction of new models to Singapore for mass production
  • Develop on-the-job training and work proficiency improvement plan for technologists
  • Innovate and Implement smart manufacturing technology through collaboration with Technology Group and external parties
  • Manage and do level 1 troubleshooting for cells
  • Analyze manufacturing data / defect records for continuous improvement identification and implementation
  • Monitor records and develop line balancing strategies
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement for cost and quality
  • Optimize workflow and allocation of work in each manufacturing process
  • Optimize workflow of each cell and labor required to each cell

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant disciplines 
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in production environment, operating and innovating cell manufacturing processes and techniques, analyzing manufacturing equipment related data etc.
  • Technical skills in examining manufacturing technique and conducting DPA using AutoCad, CATIA
  • Technical skills in analyzing data on workability, workload, lead time and proficiency records
  • Understanding in manufacturing process optimization
  • Understanding of Plant Automation and Robotics/PLC systems is a plus
