Process Engineer (Logistics Equipment)
Your Mission
This position is responsible for establishing and overseeing the delivery of highly automated logistics equipment for a large scale manufacturing warehouse. He/she will also play a critical role in the successful execution of automation projects, ensuring that the state-of-the-art logistics systems are installed, optimzed and integrated into the production environment. This position will involve project management, technical expertise, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver systems that meet operational goals and deadlines.
What To Expect
- Plan, design and deliver automated logistics equipment, ensuring that project timelines, budgets, and objectives are met
- Collaborate with users and suppliers to develop logistics solutions tailored to the needs of the manufacturing environment, including automated conveyors, robotic systems, and material handling systems
- Oversee the integration of automation systems with existing warehouse processes and infrastructure. Ensure compatibility and functionality across all systems
- Ensure all systems meet industry standards for safety, efficiency, and reliability. Conduct rigorous testing, validation, and quality assurance on all equipment before, during, and after installation
- Monitor the performance of automated systems and recommend improvements or upgrades to increase efficiency and reduce downtime in the warehouse
- Assist in preparing and managing project budgets and resources, including labor, materials, and equipment
- Ensure that all project activities adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal safety standards
- Support of logistics equipment upgrades to support NPI (New Product Introduction)
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Electrical or relevant disciplines)
- 1-3 years of exprience of installation and maintenance of ASRS, Conveyor systems, Industrial robots and Vision systems
- 1-3 years of experience in production management and supply chain management
- Strong understanding of automated logistics systems (e.g., conveyors, robotic systems, AGVs)
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
- Familiarity with control systems and PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal)
- Experience with CAD software and technical drawings
- Experience with system integration and troubleshooting in complex industrial settings
- PMP (Project Management Professional), Six Sigma, or similar certifications are a plus.
