Part Development Specialist

Your Mission

This position is responsible for developing and supplying parts for projects, managing the supply chain of parts, and preparing parts in accordance with the production plan. Additionally, this role involves managing the quality of parts and planning and executing purchasing cost reduction plans and procurement strategies to ensure customer satisfaction and profitability.

What To Expect

  • Manage the part development plan, respond to events throughout the development process, and prepare for mass production.
  • Select suppliers for each item and decide on the unit costs.
  • Manage investment and material costs.
  • Support the management of KD (Knocked Down) parts procurement and manage the unit cost.
  • Research and develop local suppliers and manage them.
  • Address quality issues with parts.
  • Devise and execute strategies for purchasing parts.
  • Devise and execute unit cost reduction plans, then negotiate costs of parts with suppliers.
  • Collect information about laws and policies related to procurement and apply it to the strategy for purchasing parts.
  • Guide and support parts development work for affiliated specialists as a senior member of the team.
  • Conduct customs clearance and general procurement until the procurement organization is completed.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in machine/electronics/electric/chemical engineering.
  • Total of 5-10 years of experience in purchasing and developing parts.
  • Experience in the automotive industry or parts supplier preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of employees and suppliers.
