Mobile Robot Technician

Your Mission

This position is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet of mobile robots. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating robots, as well as conducting regular maintenance checks to keep them in optimal condition. 

What To Expect

  • Oversee software aspects for multiple fleets of mobile robots in a manufacturing environment.
  • Improve existing robot management software to increase productivity.
  • Understand various suppliers' mobile robot platforms and conduct troubleshooting.
  • Optimize traffic on mobile robots with different AGV / AMR Control Systems (ACSs).
  • Determine causes of operational problems or failures.
  • Troubleshoot robotic systems, using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, sensor or feedback systems, hydraulics, or pneumatics.
  • Perform corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components.
  • Disassemble and reassemble robots or peripheral equipment to make repairs such as replacement of defective circuit boards, sensors, controllers, encoders, and servomotors.
  • Align, fit, or assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates, or microscopes.
  • Test performance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or integrated systems or equipment.
  • Develop robotic path motions to maximize efficiency, safety, and quality.
  • Build or assemble robotic devices or systems.
  • Assist engineers in the design, configuration, or application of robotic systems.
  • Train robots to perform simple and complex tasks, designing and carrying out a series of iterative tests of material transportation.
  • Monitor alarms for downtime and report them to the engineer.

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum Diploma in Robotics or relevant Engineering discipline.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience with mobile robots.
  • Basic understanding of ROS-based software and embedded systems.
  • Basic mechanical engineering knowledge.
  • Preferential work experience in IT.
  • Self-motivated and proactive personality.
