Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Your Mission

This position is responsible for carrying out corrective and preventive maintenance in HMGICS' smart factory.

What To Expect

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and daily inspections on mechanical equipment.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to identify and rectify machine abnormalities.
  • Strictly adhere to planned activities to ensure the target downtime ratio for equipment and module production lines is met.
  • Communicate effectively about machine issues with engineers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Prepare written reports for shift handovers.
  • Provide strong field leadership to manage and supervise contractor support for maintenance activities, ensuring work is done safely and correctly the first time.
  • Be accountable for daily maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are performed faithfully from start to finish.
  • Be comfortable to handle sudden schedule changes (especially during the commissioning phase).
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other stakeholders (e.g., production, logistics) to understand daily issues and provide support as needed.
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement projects.

What You'll Bring

  • Diploma/Higher Nitec/Nitec in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Automotive or a related field.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in mechanical machine maintenance.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and the ability to sketch plans, side, and top elevations.
  • Proficiency with measuring tools (e.g., Vernier caliper, outer diameter micrometer, inner diameter micrometer).
  • Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyor belts, bearings, vibrations, and greasing (a bonus).
  • Technical knowledge in mechanical general assembly drawings and cross-sectional drawings.
  • A driver's license (a bonus).
  • Ability to execute 3G welding (a bonus).
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Comfortable with a hands-on approach, particularly for maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Professionalism and flexibility, especially in reacting to sudden changes.
  • Strong leadership capabilities combined with accountability and responsibility for assigned tasks.
