Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Your Mission

This position is responsible for managing machines in HMGICS' smart factory and driving innovation in the creation of self-diagnostic machinery maintenance systems.

What To Expect

  • Perform daily patrols, monthly semi-overhauls, annual overhauls, and scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Prepare work reports and deliver them to the next shift.
  • Monitor plant conditions (production, downtime) in real-time and report on orders from superiors.
  • Respond to emergencies (breakdowns, accidents, fires, etc.).
  • Create breakdown reports, including root cause analysis (RCA) and countermeasures.
  • Be prepared to work day and night shifts, overtime, early shifts, and respond to urgent tasks, including nights, weekends, holidays, and vacations when requested by the company or superiors.
  • Plan and execute activities strictly to achieve the target downtime ratio for the equipment and lines in charge.
  • Ensure the availability and readiness of spare parts, with a focus on critical equipment.
  • Faithfully perform maintenance duties as required.
  • Carry out orders from superiors and report on them at the start, during, and upon completion.
  • Be familiar with condition monitoring systems and able to interpret various machinery data parameters.
  • Innovate and optimize maintenance plans, including predictive maintenance models.
  • Review Prognostics & Health Management strategies to advance smart maintenance.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant machine maintenance experience in the automated manufacturing industry (preferred).
  • At least 2 years of experience with pneumatic systems such as SMC and FESTO.
  • At least 2 years of experience with reducers from manufacturers such as Alpha, Sumitomo, and SEW.
  • At least 2 years of experience in condition monitoring systems.
  • Technical knowledge in engines and metal machining.
  • Experience in designing small machinery parts (e.g., shafts, blocks).
  • A valid driver's license and related equipment field experience (preferred).
  • Proficiency in IT skills: MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), AUTOCAD (for designing small mechanical parts), and 3D CAD (Step, Inventor, Catia).
  • Welding certification.
  • Experience in lubrication, and maintenance of bearings, fans, and pumps.
