Mechanical Engineer

Your Mission

This position is responsible for the mechanical design, review, and continuous improvement of automation equipment and manufacturing systems at HMGICS.

What To Expect

  • Design mechanical systems, equipment, jigs, and fixtures for assembly line applications.
  • Prepare and review 2D drawings using AutoCAD and 3D models using CATIA.
  • Independently design and review automation equipment for manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Develop automation concepts to convert manual parts installation into automated operations.
  • Review factory (assembly line) and equipment layout plans for feasibility, efficiency, and maintainability.
  • Support the improvement of existing equipment and assembly processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on equipment development, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare technical documents such as drawings, bills of materials (BOM), and specifications.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design.
  • Experience in hands-on design of industrial or automation equipment.
  • Experience in assembly line, manufacturing, or Manufacturing R&D environments is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical components (e.g., bolts, bearings, gears), motors, sensors, and pneumatic systems.
  • Solid understanding of automation, motion control, and manufacturing equipment design.
  • Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and 3D CATIA, including simulation (e.g., kinematic simulation and analysis).
  • Strong capability in independent mechanical design and design review.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical structures, machine elements, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to review factory and equipment layouts.
