Logistics Parts Engineer
Your Mission
This position is responsible for managing and ensuring the accuracy of parts inventory, overseeing logistics operations, and implementing efficient warehouse management practices.
What To Expect
- Manage and ensure the accuracy of parts inventory.
- Oversee and implement logistics operations, including inbound and outbound operations.
- Implement efficient warehouse management practices to streamline inventory handling, storage, and order fulfillment processes.
- Conduct regular analysis of logistics metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance parts supply efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and agility.
- Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
- Comply with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and participate as a WSH/EHS member to ensure workplace safety.
- Liaise with production, 3PL, materials, and digital solutions teams to ensure timely delivery of parts.
- Manage urgent orders, delivery, safety stock, and system updates.
- Ensure timely Goods Issue (GI) and Goods Receipt (GR) for parts received from 3PL and issued to production.
- Arrange training for staff to enhance their skills.
- Work with the production and QC teams on OS&D (overages, shortages, and damages) parts handling, and collaborate with the materials team on OS&D reporting, follow-up countermeasures, claims, and monitoring.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or relevant field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of the automotive industry is an added advantage.
