IoT Engineer

Your Mission

This position is responsible for developing applications based on modern IoT platforms, including the in-house IoT platform, PTC Kepware, PTC ThingWorx, and OutSystems. The role involves developing and executing interfaces that connect Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to pipelines, as well as arranging and enhancing IoT Docker containers for applications deployed within the private cloud system. This position will also collaborate with field engineers to specify requirements for PLC, socket, and database-to-database interfaces, facilitating pipeline testing, monitoring, and optimization. In addition, the position will work closely with developers, database administrators, and server engineers within the team.

What To Expect

  • Develop and maintain device connectivity for sensors, PLCs, robots, and gateways.
  • Understand communication protocols such as MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus, REST, etc.
  • Implement data ingestion pipelines to cloud or on-premises platforms.
  • Write reliable, testable code for edge applications, device adapters, and basic backend services.
  • Support device provisioning, configuration, and monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity, latency, and data quality issues.
  • Follow established architecture, security, and coding standards.
  • Deliver working features within the assigned scope.
  • Ensure data correctness and system stability.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.]
  • Possess 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with PLCs and IoT platforms.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and operating PLCs.
  • Familiarity with SCADA and proficiency in standard communication protocols (OPC UA, S7, TCP, UDP, Ethernet, Modbus, and PROFINET).
  • Proficiency in IoT platforms, specifically Siemens PLCs, PTC Kepware, PTC ThingWorx, and Linux OS.
  • Technical proficiency in scripting languages and environments such as PowerShell, Bash, Linux, etc.
  • Knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and database management, including Oracle, Tibero, SQL, etc.
  • Technical skills in Docker, CI/CD pipelines, C#, Java, Spring Boot, and Vue.js.
