Inspection Software Engineer

Your Mission

This position is responsible for managing and enhancing automobile inspection systems using AI, machine learning, and ICT technologies. They will develop inspection techniques for automotive parts, respond to new model production, and collaborate with Hyundai Motor Group HQ and the R&D team.

What To Expect

  • Standardize inspection processes and optimize the production schedule based on Build-To-Order (BTO).
  • Conduct online/offline programming, simulation, and testing on new models/parts (CPS production pre-verification).
  • Monitor and analyze inspection test results for improvement.
  • Introduce new inspection processes, including automated inspection systems.
  • Work on vision inspection systems for the detection of quality defects.
  • Manage and develop Standard Operating Procedures and inspection standards, responding to different components and specifications.
  • Address Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC), perform root cause analysis, and provide improvements through hardware or software modifications.
  • Manage new and existing hardware/software.
  • Analyze testing results from quality inspection systems.
  • Enhance vision inspection capabilities using artificial intelligence/machine learning.
  • Develop new quality inspection techniques using ICT and sensor technology.
  • Collaborate technically with Hyundai Motor R&D in Korea, including acquisition and delivery of vehicle data.
  • Collaborate with Hyundai Motor Company HQ in Korea for business purposes.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, specializing in Computer Science, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in automotive CAN telecommunication programs
  • Experience with inspection systems, including operations, data analysis on inspection processes, and testing machines
  • Preferred experience in robotics systems, including vision camera systems, pneumatic cylinders, and other sensors
  • Understanding of CAN Communication Protocol
  • Understanding of UDS and KWP
  • Experience with vehicle diagnostic devices
  • Experience with CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape
  • Understanding of CCP Communication Protocol and Ethernet Communication Protocol
  • Understanding of DTCs
  • Intermediate level proficiency in C#
