IT Network Specialist
Your Mission
This position is responsible for building and administering IT infrastructure (network and security) as an IT Infrastructure Support Engineer. Supporting IT infrastructure and understanding IT operations (ITOps), you will work closely with other enterprise teams (Database, Server, ERP, etc.) on operations, troubleshooting, and new infrastructure setup. You will also support project teams with firewall requests, routing, and network design guidelines, as well as manage external vendors for the installation and maintenance of network infrastructure.
What To Expect
[Network Management]
- Basic knowledge of monitoring and maintaining enterprise network devices (switches, routers, wireless networks, WAN accelerators, etc.).
- Troubleshoot network issues and resolve failures.
- Conduct routine checks and monitor network devices.
- Administer and monitor network service providers (cabling, electrical infrastructure, facilities, etc.).
- Report network status in a timely manner.
- Coordinate service requests and work with network solution providers (e.g., Cisco) when necessary.
- Basic knowledge of OT systems (TSN, PTP).
- Research cutting-edge networking technologies related to manufacturing.
[Security Management]
- Administer and monitor security solutions (Firewall, IPS, IDS, Websense, AntiSpam, AntiVirus Console, Cisco NAC).
- Conduct daily routine checks and monitor security status.
- Communicate with service providers and telecommunication companies to follow up on security management.
- Report security status in a timely manner and provide recommendations on a regular basis.
- Coordinate service requests and work with security solution providers (e.g., Cisco) when necessary.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree (Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline preferred).
- 2–4 years of experience in building and administering IT infrastructure (network).
- Knowledge of building and administering enterprise networks.
- Basic knowledge of administering security solutions.
- Technical skills in server administration as a System Engineer.
