IT Network Specialist
Your Mission
This position is responsible for designing, building, and administering IT networks as a system engineer.
What To Expect
[Network Management]
- Monitor and maintain enterprise network devices, including switches, routers, wireless access points, WAN accelerators, etc.
- Troubleshoot network errors and resolve failures efficiently.
- Conduct routine checks and monitoring of network devices to ensure optimal performance.
- Administer and oversee network service providers (e.g., cabling networks, electricity, facilities) and telecommunication companies (e.g., AT&T, Alestra).
- Provide timely reports on network status.
- Request services and collaborate with network service providers (e.g., Cisco) when necessary.
- Understand and manage wireless networks, including Cisco and Ruckus.
- Proficiency in Wireshark for network analysis and troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of Linux for network-related administration and troubleshooting.
[Network Security Management]
- Administer and monitor security solutions, including firewalls, IPS, IDS, Websense, Anti-Spam, Anti-Virus Console, and Cisco NAC.
- Conduct daily security checks and continuously monitor the security status.
- Communicate with service providers and telecommunication companies to follow up on security management issues.
- Provide timely security status reports and offer recommendations for improvements.
- Request services and coordinate with security solution providers (e.g., Cisco) when necessary.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- 5 to 7 years of experience in building and administering networks.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and managing company networks.
- Knowledge of network security administration, including firewalls.
- Technical expertise in server administration as a system engineer.
