Head of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)

Your Mission

This position is responsible for defining, implementing, and overseeing the corporate-wide EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) strategy. The role ensures 100% compliance with local and international regulations while fostering a “Safety-First” culture. As a strategic leader, you will mitigate operational risks, lead emergency response initiatives, and drive sustainability goals across all business units.

What To Expect

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive EHS roadmap and governance framework aligned with corporate objectives and ISO standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full adherence to the Serious Accident Punishment Act (SAPA), Occupational Safety and Health Act, and relevant environmental and fire safety laws.
  • Risk Management: Lead regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential workplace hazards.
  • Incident Management: Oversee the investigation of all incidents and near-misses, conduct root-cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Emergency Response: Design and manage fire safety protocols, emergency evacuation plans, and crisis management drills.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison with government agencies (Ministry of Employment and Labor, Ministry of Environment, Fire Services) and external auditors.
  • EHS Culture & Training: Drive employee engagement programs and specialized EHS training sessions to elevate safety awareness across the organization.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Health Science, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 12–15 years of professional experience in the EHS field, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Registered WSH Safety Officer with MOM (mandatory).
  • Certified ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Lead Auditor.
  • Experience in ESG, sustainability, or environmental performance management is a plus.
  • Experience in advanced manufacturing safety (robotics, automation, EV batteries, AGVs/AMRs).
  • Strong incident investigation, audit, and regulatory liaison skills.
  • Ability to prepare management reports, KPIs, and presentations for senior leadership and Headquarters.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
