Accounting Specialist

Your Mission

This position is responsible for providing accurate accounting information to internal and external stakeholders in accordance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS) within the predetermined schedule. The role involves tasks such as cost closing, monthly accounts closing, group reporting, responding to accounting audits, managing fixed assets and investment budgets, processing bills, and overseeing consolidated settlements.

What To Expect

  • Conduct monthly accounts closing and group reporting using HQ's COA in accordance with accounting rules in Singapore.
  • Develop and verify financial statements.
  • Organize data for consolidation in a designated form and provide HQ with the data within the given timeframe.
  • Support periodic statutory audits required by Singapore law.
  • Maintain AR and AP listings and transactions.
  • Handle inter-company transactions.
  • Perform AR/AP reconciliation if necessary.
  • Take responsibility for billings and keeping track of payments.
  • Monitor AR aging and debt status.
  • Support tax (GST/WHT/CIT/PIT) filing requirements.
  • Manage and maintain asset listings and schedules.
  • Conduct acquisition/disposal/divestiture/transfer/depreciation of tangible and intangible assets.
  • Perform assets due diligence.
  • Monitor investment costs against approved investment budgets.
  • Manage the investment budgeting process and support the execution of investments.
  • Provide support when additional investment is required and reviewed for approval.
  • Process bills for cost closing and consolidated settlement.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in business Administration, Taxation, or Accounting.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting (full set, asset management, etc.).
  • Experience in the automotive and other manufacturing industries is preferred.
  • Knowledge of IFRS, accounting rules in Singapore, and local tax law.
  • Certification in finance/accounting (CPA, CA, ACCA) preferred.
  • Technical skills in managing assets and conducting settlement using SAP.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
